Joseph Wilde's play Drown Your Empty Selves is announced as part of Liz Stevenson's inaugual season for Theatre by the Lake

The World Premiere of Drown Your Empty Selves by Joseph Wilde will be performed at Theatre by the Lake in Keswick next year. Described as 'a beautifully drawn eulogy, charting the decline of the British pub', the production and will be directed by Kash Arshad.

Joseph is a graduate of the Royal Court and Chichester Festival Theatre Young Writers Programmes, and of HighTide Festival Theatre’s Escalator Playwright attachment. His 2013 breakout play Cuddles is currently in development for the big screen with Nicole Kidman's Blossom Films. Other theatre includes: The Pier (Oxford Playhouse/Marlowe Theatre) and The Van Dyck Vanishments (Marine Studios/Milo Wladek Co). Joseph also writes for TV and radio: his play The Loving Ballad of Captain Bateman won the BBC Drama Imison Award.
