Gemma Barnett opens at Leeds Playhouse in Dr Korczak's Example

Gemma Barnett

Dr Korczak's Example is set in an orphanage in the Warsaw ghetto in 1942.  It is the powerful and enduring true story of Dr Janusz Korczak, a Polish educator and children’s author who championed the rights of young people, believing every child has the right to freedom, respect and love.  It runs from 27 January - 15 February.

Gemma is a finalist in the 2020 Offies Awards for Best Female Performance for A Hundred Words for Snow at Trafalgar Studios 2.  The Offies celebrate the achievements and successes of independent, alternative and fringe theatre in London and are organised by OffWestEnd.com.  The 2020 winners will be announced at the 10th Anniversary awards ceremony on 8 March 2020 in the Grand Hall at Battersea Arts Centre
