Adura Onashile takes leading part in National Theatre of Scotland's 2020 season
As both an actor and a writer, Adura stars in the newly announced 2020 season for the National Theatre of Scotland. She will play the title role in their production of Medea which is adapted by Liz Lochhead and directed by former RSC Artistic Director, Michael Boyd. The production plays at next summer's Edinburgh International Festival.
In addition, Adura has created Ghosts for the 2020 season. Ghosts is a brand-new multimedia project which takes the form of an emotional guided tour through a free augmented reality app. Audience phones will become a window into Glasgow’s often unspoken history with the slave trade, allowing them to meet the ghosts of the city’s painful past and its effects on the present.
