The Dance and Drama Awards were introduced by the Government in 1999 to provide national scholarships for the UK’s most talented dance and drama students. Both the One Year and Three Year courses are part of the scheme and students accepted onto these courses are able to apply for a scholarship, even if they have had funding to complete a degree already. If you receive a Dance and Drama Award, you have to pay a maximum of £1,250 per year (figure for 2008/9) for your training. The School has a very high proportion of scholarships.
Dance and Drama Award students can also get a grant to help with living costs. This is not a loan and does not have to be repaid. Details of this are in our prospectus. Disabled students who have a Dance and Drama Award can apply for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA). The DSA is a grant that can help to cover the cost of extra equipment and support required to access the training at the School.
Awards are available to EU students who fulfil the following criteria:
If you are offered a place at the School you will automatically be considered for an award. The awards are allocated by the School according to two criteria: talent and financial need.
Non-EU students may be eligible for grants from their home country.
For students not in receipt of an award the fees for 2009/10 are below. Should you not receive an award we will give you further information on other organisations that can offer you funding.
| One Year Course | £4,160 per term |

| Three Year Course | £4,160 per term |
| Six Month Foundation Course in Acting | £2,725 per term (including VAT) |

The Dance and Drama Awards (DaDA) are scholarships funded by the Learning and Skills Council and are for individuals who want to become professional dancers, actors or stage managers. The Dance and Drama Awards are given to students who display the most talent and potential at their audition.
The Awards offer greatly reduced tuition fees but the student will be asked to make a contribution. They also provide access to income assessed support to help with living costs and student fees contribution
Only students taking an approved Trinity College London qualification will be eligible to apply for an Award. These courses last between one and three years and are at National Diploma or National Certificate level.
