The Oxford School of Drama

Productions

We believe that you should, throughout your course, work on material that is challenging, because we believe that only in tackling the greatest plays by the best writers will the actor grow sufficiently to love the craft.

Public productions are performed at well-known theatres such as the Theatre in Chipping Norton, and in London at Hampstead Theatre, Soho Theatre and Drill Hall. They are marketed in the same way as a professional company and attract members of the public and the press as well as friends of the School. Recent productions have been directed by some of the country’s leading young directors.

The School will ensure that you are seen by top agents and casting directors during your training. External assessors, over the last three years, have included Casting Directors from Donmar Warehouse, Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal National Theatre and Royal Court.
